Perfect for Storing Extra Furniture

My wife and I needed to find storage units for Toronto after my father passed away suddenly last month. With his passing, his property and belonging passed on to us. We put his house up for sale while we tried to figure out what to do with his belongings and were utterly astonished when we found a buyer within a week. That left us in a real lurch with regards to his furniture and other items. I didn’t want to do an estate sale until I had the time to go through them. Unfortunately, we don’t have the room to move them into our home.

My wife suggested looking into a storage unit here in the city. I hadn’t even thought of that idea, but we quickly went online to see if we could find something nearby. We wanted something short term, a couple of months at most, to put all of his stuff into storage until we could figure out what to sell, what to keep, and what to throw away. We soon found a professional outfit with storage units throughout the country and in no time at all we secured a unit that was big enough to hold all of his things.

We got a friend with a truck to help us move the stuff down there and got most of it squared away in about five hours. I have to say I’m impressed with the storage facilities. One concern is that someone might break in and steal your stuff. I don’t see it happening at this place. They’ve got cameras everywhere and coded gates that require a password before you’re allowed to enter the area. I’m so much more relaxed knowing I don’t have to hustle to go through his things. Instead I can take my time and make sure I keep the really special items.
